WE WANT YOU! To go to Organizing School 101– this is a great, FREE course being offered in conjunction with the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT) as part of our FPSE affiliation.
This is an ideal course to learn how & why ongoing organizing with our members is critical for successful collective bargaining as well as promoting diversity equity, and inclusion, collegial governance, academic freedom, and other social justice causes. (Remember, we’re back to the bargaining table in just about a year from now in Winter of 2025 – and it’s going to take all our efforts together to keep making gains!)

Organizing is one of the most important aspects of preparing for collective bargaining and ensuring that our Union is ready to stand in solidarity when negotiating for rights and improvements to our working conditions. CAUT courses are attended by faculty from Colleges, Institutes, and Universities all across Canada. You’ll meet others who are interested maintaining and expanding faculty’s role in Academic Governance! I hope I’ll see some of you there!
