About CCFA

The Camosun College Faculty Association is certified as the legal bargaining unit for the majority of faculty at Camosun College.

Thus, we are a union under the jurisdiction of the Labour Relations Code [RSBC 1996] Chapter 244. Among our chief responsibilities are to negotiate a collective agreement with our employer and to administer that agreement. As a union in the BC College system, we are also a member of FPSE. In addition to its functions of negotiating and contract administration, the Faculty Association administers the Professional Development Fund through the Professional Development (PD) Committee, and serves as the clearing house for a wide range of information from Administration, from the Federation of Post Secondary Educators (FPSE), or from other institutions.

The Camosun College Faculty Association serves it’s members while residing on the traditional and unceded territories of the Lkwungen (Esquimalt and Songhees) and W̱SÁNEĆ (Pauquachin, Tsartlip, Tsawout, Tseycum) peoples. We express our profound gratitude to our traditional hosts’ welcome and tolerance of our uninvited presence while we strive to dismantle our colonial, patriarchal, and racist cultural biases.
