Join us, as we commemorate half a century of solidarity, camaraderie, and cooperation! We are inviting faculty members, retirees, and their loved ones to join us in this momentous occasion. This celebration is more than just a reflection on our past achievements. It is an opportunity to look forward, to strengthen our bonds, and to build future solidarity. We are commemorating the power of unity and the strength of a collective vision that has gotten us where we are now. The Venue
The grand gala will take place at the Ambrosia Banquet & Events, located at 638 Fisgard Street, Victoria BC.
The Schedule
Upon arrival, attendees can check-in to receive their union swag bundles between 5-5:30 PM.
A no-host open bar will be available from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM, offering a variety of beverages for your enjoyment for $7 each.
At 6:00 PM, a deliciously catered buffet meal by the chefs from Royal Spice will be served. We are providing an accessible meal for a wide variety of dietary restrictions and preferences, including vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free and non-nightshade selections. If you have other dietary restrictions, please inform us in advance.
Following the meal, we will begin our program honouring our union history and guests at 6:30 PM. This will be a moment to acknowledge the contributions of everyone who has been a part of our journey and to reflect on the path we have traversed together.
As the evening progresses, let loose and join us on the dance floor! We have the incredible DJ Tera Greene, also known as Nova Jade from BadRabbitRadio, to keep the party going with her electrifying beats.
Parking and Other Details
Parking is available at the Centennial Square Parkade. The banquet will conclude at 11:00 PM. Union imprinted merchandise will be available for purchase at cost + shipping & handling following the event on our Square Storefront.
We look forward to sharing this special evening with you, as we celebrate 50 years of solidarity, achievements, and a shared vision for a promising future. Together, we’ll raise a toast to the past, present, and future of the Camosun College Faculty Association.

Lynelle is a queer, leftist rabble-rouser galvanized to guard the rights of union members and is on a crusade to convince you that you get out of your Union what you put into it. Lynelle serves on Presidents Council of the Federation of Post-Secondary Educators (FPSE) and was elected to FPSE Executive as a Member-at-Large. She is on a number of FPSE affiliate committees, including the 2SLGBTQIA+ and Racialized Workers Caucuses for the BC Fed, and is active in the Victoria Labour Congress. Lynelle also serves as V.P. of her Strata Council & oversees a rooftop community garden which partners with Harvest & Share Food Aid Society to grow fresh produce for local foodbanks and community food security programs.
