2025 AGM Notice

April 17, 2025 by CCFAASC Leave a Comment

Na'tsa'maht - Working Together as One: Artist Butch Dick

We hope you can join us for the Annual General Meeting!

You should already have a meeting invite for our AGM in your Outlook calendars, on May 8 from 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, including lunch. If you don’t, please contact us.

Come early for coffee and tea starting at 8:30am, and the meeting will begin at 9.

Schedule:

8:30 – 9:00Tea & Coffee served as Members assemble together, please remember to bring your own coffee mugs, glasses, or water bottles!
9:00 – 12:00AGM Business (Executive Officer Reports, Discussion & Approval of Draft Budget, Election of the 2025/2026 CCFA Executive)
12:00 – 1:00Lunch Social – A delicious lunch will be served.
1:00 – 3:15AGM Business continues, followed by Guest Speakers & Professional Development
3:15Door Prizes!

If you haven’t already done so, please respond to the Outlook invite so we can order the correct number of lunches. If you have any special dietary needs, please email ac.ytlucafnusomac@afcc to let us know by Monday, April 28th.

We also aim to reduce food waste by ordering only for those who accept the invite, but inevitably end up with extra so please, bring your take-home containers, too!

We encourage everyone to come to the meeting – we will be hearing bargaining and s.54 negotiation updates, electing our new CCFA Executive, and there will be door prizes! Executive Reports and our Agenda will be added to your invite, so watch for our updates. We look forward to seeing you there!

ALL MEMBERS should know that you HAVE THE RIGHT to attend, even if this meeting conflicts with your teaching schedule. Now, we know that not everyone is interested or willing to step away from teaching just to attend a Union meeting, but, if you want to, all you have to do is politely inform your Dean or Director that you won’t be available to teach during the meeting.

If you think you might be interested in serving on our Executive Committee, get in touch with the CCFA Nominations Committee. Not sure if working with the Union is right for you? Read this recent Confluence Blog Post by Pei Mei Chia, one of our Executive Members!

We express our profound gratitude to our traditional hosts’ welcome and tolerance of our uninvited presence while we strive to dismantle our colonial, patriarchal, and racist cultural biases.
