Let’s Work Together to Do Better!

Racialized persons arms raised in a circle of fist bumps

Please take a few moments to complete the voluntary and confidential FPSE Equity Survey.

This is your opportunity to inform the advocacy work of our Federation of Post-Secondary Educators of British Columbia (FPSE). Your input will help guide next steps on better supporting equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) at member locals across the province, making our Federation, and our own local, better for yourself and your colleagues.

Please use this link to access the FPSE Equity Survey:

Survey Details: FPSE is seeking to better understand our membership’s makeup, our academic experiences, and our experiences with EDI.  There are three parts to the survey: the first focuses on basic demographic information, the second on diversity, and the third on inclusion. Please tick the box (or boxes) that are applicable to you. If you choose not to respond to a question, most questions either have an “I prefer not to respond” or a “Not applicable” box. Some questions allow individuals to add additional information.

The deadline for the survey is Friday, November 17, 2023 at 5:00 pm

Your response is completely anonymous and confidential, and all data will be stripped of personal identifiers. Your participation in this survey data implies that you have consented to the use of your answers—grouped with those from other people—in reports or publications.

This survey is for academic faculty and academic staff employed in 2023—2024 at Canadian universities, colleges, and polytechnics/institutions.

Thank You! Thank you to all of you who are doing this survey—because of your participation we will begin to make our locals and institutions better places to work!

Contact and Feedback: There are various approaches and theories about demographic surveys and EDI; thus, putting together a survey such as this is always difficult. If you have some thoughtful comments or guidance to provide after completing this survey, please contact Jasmine Nicholsfigueiredo, First Vice President – Equity, FPSE, at ac.espf@1pv.
